  • Blue Nitrile Gloves

    • medical-grade-blue-nitrile-gloves-powder-free

    From: £1.49

These Nitrile examination gloves are latex-free and powder-free, and are great for handling nicotine while creating e-liquid. They have strong beaded cuffs that are supple, soft as well as comfortable to wear. They feel better than natural rubber latex, but the major difference is that these gloves have superior resistance to oil/chemical nicotine permeation and are significantly stronger than latex.

“Nitrile” is the name of a synthetic rubber, which is made of Acrylonitrile and Butadiene. These compounds make the gloves resistant to contact with a wide range of chemicals, oils and greases, as well as being extra resistant to solvents such as: liquid paraffin, xylene, petroleum jelly etcetera.

These gloves contain no protein or powder, or natural rubber latex. This inreturn eliminating the risks of skin allergies and powder induced contamination.

Made to match the European Standard BS EN 455 AQL 1.5 [Latex Free]

      :

The price is OK (not necessarily the best available) and the gloves are fine.

But be aware that all you are getting is the gloves. Literally just the gloves. I got a spongy package, wrapped in that standard opaque grey plastic covering that you normally see on the outside of packages. I tore it open, and drowned in blue gloves.

I kind of assumed that the gloves would be in a cardboard dispenser, or at least they’d come in some kind of clear plastic bag. But no, you’re paying for literally just gloves. Maybe I should have realised that from the description saying ‘singles’. But even if they’re not in a box, they could have at least been provided in a clear plastic ziplock bag or something.

So be sure you have something convenient to keep the gloves in once you get them. And if you see them elsewhere for the same price and it has a cardboard dispensing box, that would definitely be preferable!
